Hi, I’m Mel - a relaxed and heartfelt wedding celebrant based in Christchurch, where I’ve lived for nearly 30 years.

I believe ceremonies should feel genuine, personal, and completely true to you. Whether you’re planning something simple and intimate or a ceremony filled with meaningful touches, my goal is to make the process easy, enjoyable, and stress-free from the very beginning.

My style is warm, calm, and down-to-earth. I’ll guide you through the process, help with the important details, and create a ceremony that feels natural and comfortable.

Outside of weddings, I lead a customer service team and volunteer as a youth mentor - both roles that have strengthened my love for people, connection, and creating positive experiences for others.

I share life with my amazing other half, Simon and our very loved and slightly spoilt dog, Duke. I’m also a big fan of good coffee, cheese scones, spending time with friends and trips to the beach.

It took me decades to find the confidence to become a celebrant, but now I finally know what I want to do when I grow up - and I absolutely love being part of such meaningful moments in people’s lives.

It's a privilege to stand beside couples on one of the most important days of their lives, and I'd love to help create a ceremony that feels beautifully you.
